We've been coming to this place for over 20 years. Although we don't come here often, it is always satisfying getting a grab to eat coming to this place. We always call our order in. It usually takes about 10 minutes for them to prepare it. Their Philly cheese steak is pretty good here. You outta try it.
Below no frills, faintly dirty, and brusk. And yet, if you want a (seldom purchased because you know, health) heart-attack in a roll, get the cheese steak deliciousness. I don't get the cheese, but even still, it is full of flavor and fat and complemented beautifully with a coke. I see why folks hail this as the best hoagie around.

I heard about this place before I moved to Oakland several years ago. When I first touched down in Oakland I happened to live near Mills so of course I had to try it out! It's in a semi sketchy area but don't let the looks of this place fool you. The cheese steaks are cheesy and delicious!
Hood classic. Great food. There are plenty of great choices. One of Oaklands gems that has delivered consistency for years. The prices are extremely affordable. The service is quick. Food is always made fresh. I repeat ALWAYS made fresh which is key. My go to is the cheesesteak hoagie with extra onions and peppers. You can pass on the fries. I usually substitute mine for chips. They also make burgers which I haven't tried yet. Overall, this is a very underrated spot that you need to try.
